| The BU-51H is a highly versatile turnkey HD Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera system intended to address a wide range of indoor applications. It features a pan-tilt head, a built-in 20X zoom lens, and a 3 CCD HD video camera all housed in an elegant design. The system offers extensive control of the pan-tilt head, lens functions, and key camera CCU adjustments. The system was specifically designed to achieve an excellent HD cost-performance optimization. The central premise of the BU-51H design criteria was an extremely low operational mechanism noise level so that the system can be actuated within venues and situations which, by their very nature, are unusually quiet. Concert halls, lecture auditoriums, and recording studios are just some of the countless situations for which the BU-51H is ideally suited. The BU-51H robotic remote-control camera is a highly versatile high-definition imaging system combining Canon HD optics, HD camera, and Pan-Tilt mechanism in an integrated turnkey product that achieves a highly attractive price performance ratio. - Extremely Quiet
The BU-51H is an extremely quiet Pan-Tilt system featuring a maximum noise level of NC30. Thus, it is well suited for operation in a very quiet environment such as a conference, lecture, or concert. - Built-in Microphone
The BU-51H is equipped with a convenient, built-in microphone with adjustable settings. - Positional Information
The BU-51H provides Pan/Tilt/Zoom/Focus position information. - Open-Source Protocol
Canon anticipates a wide range of uses for the BU-51H robotic remote-control camera system within many diverse market sectors. These will largely entail custom system design and custom installations. Recognizing the considerable breadth of applications and the multiplicity of associated system control requirements, Canon has adopted a selling strategy for the BU-51H that capitalizes on the expertise and experience of numerous established third parties specializing in the custom design of sophisticated A/V systems and their associated installation. Canon plans to make the BU-51H available to third parties as part of a total operational system solution that utilizes the third party's controllers. The control protocol developed for the BU-51H is totally open to all such partners who have an interest in working with Canon. It is Canon's plan to sell the BU-51H to these partners and they will work directly with the end-user assuming all responsibility for the sale, design, and installation of the final fully-functional system. - High Quality HDTV/SDTV Video Images
The BU-46H and BU-51H have a 1/3 inch, 3 CCD HD camera with 1,670,000 pixels per CCD. Both offer exceptional video quality for broadcasting, event coverage, and high quality surveillance, among others. - High Optical Performance and Image Stabilization
The 3 CCD HD camera combines a 20X Optical Zoom HD lens (4.5-90mm, 9-180mm with 2X Digital Extender) with Auto Focus and Image Stabilization, providing exceptional HD video images with enhanced operational flexibilities. - Variety of Outputs
Both cameras output an uncompressed HD-SDI (or SD-SDI) signal. The HD-SDI signal and an SD Composite signal (NTSC or PAL - please request format at time of purchase) can be output simultaneously. The SD signal can be used for monitoring. In addition, the BU-46H and BU-51H feature GENLOCK for video synchronization. - Night Mode
The BU-46H and BU-51H now include a newly designed "night mode." The shutter speed is slowed down to a minimum of 1/4 (60i, 30F) or 1/3 (50i, 25F, 24F), allowing frame accumulation that elevates camera sensitivity.
